Today, A Woman’s Choice marks the 50th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe, more people have been denied access to abortion. However, we know that even before Roe was overturned abortion access was fragile and limited. Abortion access continues to be pushed out of reach, especially for Black people, Indigenous people, young people, and poor people. Legal abortion has not and will never be enough. We are aiming for abortion justice.
Overturning Roe’s basic legal protections is designed to strip us of our autonomy and freedom. We are committed to all of us having a full spectrum of reproductive options, when and where we want them. We are committed to our liberated future.
We know that building a future for abortion access will take generations. We’re committing to the work, and to each other. The future we’re working for is abundant, with abortion available, accessible, and free from shame.
Our clinics are open and providing abortion services at this time in Charlotte, Greensboro, and Raleigh, NC, and Jacksonville, FL.
